1750 Sundial Compass

Made in USA. Solid Brass. This type of instrument was made in England and Germany in the middle 1700's and provided a useful item in early America, as a timepiece and functional compass.  This reproduction is a striking and unique instrument, from the folding "style" to the hand-lettered paper with eight points of the compass colored in the original hues of red and blue.  Actual size is 13/4"" in diameter.
